General
Club Information WHO:
The UC Irvine Sports Medicine Club is open to all UC Irvine students. Members
must pay the annual club due of $25 which pays for a club t-shirt and for the
services provided by guest speakers and/or other events made available to the
members of the Sports Medicine Club. WHAT:
In its 7th year, the club is designed as a service to UC Irvine students interested
in areas including sports medicine, physical therapy, athletic training, nutrition
and other health associated areas. Activities include hands-on learning, guest
speakers, field trips, as well as social activities such as athletic events, bowling,
pizza or ice cream socials, and an opportunity to attend the annual FWATA conference
held either in Las Vegas, Reno or San Diego. Internships are available within
the UC Irvine Training Room as well. WHY:
The club allows students interested in these areas to gain experience and get
answers to questions or uncertainties they may have in this area of study. It
is also an opportunity to work with the student-athletes as well as meet and work
with many people of various backgrounds. WHEN:
The club usually meets on Wednesdays at 6:30pm. Other activities may be scheduled
during the week. WHERE:
Unless indicated, we meet at the Crawford Hall Classroom. For more
